This game was STRONGLY IT-oriented. We had to do it because the game # is 256. Honestly, we didn't want to make an IT game at all as the IT is our education and profession. So, it is too boring for us, but we simply had no choice...

Another important aspect was the TOURISTIC value. We took the responsibility to show our guests from Latvia, Lithuania and St. Petersbourg the best seaside locations to the west of Tallinn.

The plan was to keep more interactive outdoors and brain-puzzling locations for the daylight, while all kinds of dungeons and buildings - after the sunset. The second half of the game was more streamlined with much less of thinking and much more of searching and running. The first part was in the city and in the nature. This was done on purpose.

This is the style we are following with our special Summertime Blue games format.

BTW: Night Bites is a word-play. In fact, we meant both the Night Bytes and that the game will be as hard to bear as a dog bite! ;)

- use the 0.5L beer bottle and 0.7L bottle to carefully measure 100 ml.

The "expected" solution:

- now you have 0.3 in 0.5, and 0 in the 0.7
- pour 0.3 into 0.7, fill the 0.5 again and pour 0.4 into 0.7 so that the 0.7 becomes full
- now the 0.5 contains the target 100 gram
A fast solution from SashaPro:

We have 8 cards. We need to extract coordinates, such as 59.xxxx 24.xxxx

It is clear that the cards are shuffled, but in each pair, the right card is correct but the left is not right (left≠right). One has to reshuffle the left hand side cards so that they would produce a meaningful result. The number of possible combinations is limited here.

We start form the fact that the second card is already 9 and the 8th card is already 4 as expected. While shuffling the left cards, one would once realize, that cards in pairs should have matching suits. This leads to a single formal solution.

Collect the dots => connect the dots (to get the constellation)

All empty dots except one are marked in-field by the same Greek word for emptiness "κενό" - it gives a clue that:
1. these dots are empty: not playing, as they are just a surrounding cosmos
2. the task has something to do with Greeks

The one "empty" dot marked with "η" is not in fact empty. It is another hint for the Greek alphabet. In fact, the dot is positioned in-field so, that it represents the η star of Cassiopeia. It is not playing though in order to:
- avoid misunderstanding (Cassiopeia is normally drawn using just 5 stars)
- we only need 5 stars to encode the next location's coordinates

The codes on the "real" stars had * as the first symbol. It is another hint of course ;)

5 playing in-field dots, 5 stars, being correctly connected form a shape very similar to Cassiopeia constellation.

Funny fact: we had to assemble the α star of Cassiopeia ourselves as it was simply missing in-field! It was not an easy task, but a very funny one still.

In any constellation, stars are usually marked, according to their brightness, by Greek symbols α, β, γ, δ,...
It is the same for Cassiopeia.

In order to solve the riddle, one had to arrange the codes collected from each "star" in the order, which follows the "star" position in Cassiopeia: α first (59) followed by β, then γ, δ, and ε.

The correct sequence will produce the next location's coordinates. Any other meaningful sequence, technically, points into the sea. It is a way to check the answer before driving.

This level is reach in bonuses. Easy codes were giving 1-minute bonuses, harder ones 2 minutes, then 4 and 8 minutes followed by the 16-minute Wet Panties Seaside Romantics megabonus.

Except for the wet bonus, all the other codes were simply the ZX-Spectrum clone names. These names were written without anti-cheat numbers purposefully.

The main idea is that as soon as the HQ recognizes the pattern, it can easily help the field players to close the harder field codes simply using Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_ZX_Spectrum_clones

It was a sort of a trap for the HQ, which is sometimes too fast to close the level ;)

Funny fact: last year we used ICE on Summertime Blue 1's similar wet bonus. This time the code was AGE. Nevertheless, we used ICE at the next location, the Bladder.

Binary ladder: staircase with 8 flights and 15 steps per flight.

The staircase has a capacity to encode 15 bytes of information.
We only used three bytes: 3rd, 5th, 9th corresponding to three letters C E I (3rd, 5th, and 9th letters) anagram of ICE. This is by the way an alternative solution option ;)

The main solution:
The three bytes on the staircase hold ASCII values in the binary form.

Three holes with 8 petals each. Of course, they were used to store 3 bytes of data again :)

Marked with R G B, undoubtedly they should result in a color. The first bit of each byte is marked by R, G and B correspondingly. For simplicity, convert them to HEX or DEC to find the color name, that was sky-blue (e.g. according to the X11 standard).

2. Honeycomb riddle
8 "honecomb" cells on the floor held number 5 and seven more bits. The bits, being arranged into a correct sequence would result in the ASCII code of letter G. The answer is 5G (the new mobile communication standard). The cellular floor is a hint ;)

In order to get the right sequence of cells, one had to connect corresponding cells by its sides following the color coding: sides of the same color stick together: 51000111 -> 5G

Firemen training camp - time to escape and stay alive!

The Spaceship and the Glider are flying towards certain positions on the edge of the field. The Glider arrives at the dock forming a stable 2x2 square form at exactly the place where DOCK is written. The Spaceship flies to the right "smashing" several words above and either disappears near HELL or reflects into the direction of LOST (depending on the simulator and the way the edges are treated). Assuming that the task requires a single solution, the glider is the one that ends up deterministically at DOCK, or flies away through DOCK.

Anyway, even if you are not 100% sure, choosing your fate between HELL, LOST, FUCK and DOCK, in this context, it probably feels that DOCK is the safest choice :)

Unter Den Linden is the most famous boulevard in the whole Germany :)

This Peter the Great naval fortress bunker was built before/during the 1st World War. The sense of the location was amplified by formulating the task in German and using German words as the codes. Some codes were "easily" brute-able, as they all contained EN.

The spray is not easy to hide, but some codes were still quite challenging! ;)

Kalev's Treasure was a game at our domain, which took place back in 2016:

At that time, the end of the story was disappointing, as the treasure disappeared before the winning team finished the game. Nobody got a clue what the treasure was... It's a no-go this way! We had no choice but to fix the end of the story and make it at the location which is a typical XIX-century home of an average Estonian family. So, the Estonian national hero Kalev and his treasure got their second chance @ Summertime Blue II.

Now, mister Walkman, come to the starting point and cross the road. Keep always left and turn left whenever possible until you exit the game area. Remember to always obey the traffic regulations! On your way, collect the codes from pedestrian crossing (walkman) sign posts. You simply need the right sequence, that's it! ;)

It is a tribute to our first Summertime Blue game, which had the finish at the same place - the Great pond of Oismae. A year ago, the task was REALLY challenging and it was a mistake to put it at the end of the game.

We have corrected our fault by offering a VERY easy task this time: just collect 4 marker codes. We've even given the teams TWO chances: during the daylight (at Bootlegger level) and during the starry night at the end of the game.

Therefore the name of the level was Deja Vu, which is another tribute to another really great game of the past:
